• When I first obtained my handgun, I truly believed that to be not only a personal right and but also a major responsibility. With that in mind, in searching for a “concealed carry training” class, I had three priorities… (1) – I wanted the course to be thorough; (2) – I wanted the opportunity to express my concerns/questions and be heard; and (3) –  I wanted an instructor with a professional but also a  personal approach. After a recommendation from a close friend, I chose Steve of Cabarrus Firearms Training. I was not disappointed. Steve took his role as an instructor very seriously. The day of class time was long, but never boring. I felt we thoroughly covered the material that the law mandated and more. Steve was patient and took the time to answer all our questions. When it came to the proficiency drills, I was pleased to discover that he did that one-on-one. He spent time on reviewing gun safety and had us demonstrate that. When it came to the actual shooting of the handgun, he was observant and helpful… never intrusive or intimidating. Steve demonstrates a reassuring presence which has a calming effect on his students. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Steve  for leading this class and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
