- Question: I am considering signing up for the Concealed Carry Class. Do I need to own a handgun prior to signing up?
- Answer: Not necessarily! While it is best to “qualify” on the range using the firearm you intend to carry, sometimes a person is seeking to learn about the various options available to them prior to making that investment. Our CCH Class will help build that knowledge! A person could either borrow a handgun from someone they know or they can rent one from us. And during the class, we discuss what to look for while shopping for your concealed carry handgun.
- Question: What is a reasonable price for a Concealed Carry Class?
- Answer: It isn’t difficult to find classes for $50 or those that cost north of $150 per student! Remember this when choosing a class, why are you taking a class in the first place? Is it for self-defense? If so, don’t you want a class that considers your needs as a student while at the same time meets or exceeds the minimum requirements set-forth by the state of North Carolina? Like many things in life, YOU get what you pay for. We are not the highest priced around nor the lowest. But you will receive a top notch class. We have references from dozens upon dozens of former students!
- Question: I am uncertain if I will carry everyday. In fact I may just purchase a handgun for home use only. Is there any benefit to attending a CCH Class is I’m not going to obtain a permit?
- Answer: This actually happens frequently. A person attends a class then later decides not to obtain a permit. The decision to carry is a personal one and requires considerable thought. This too is something the class can help you with. Should you decide to obtain a firearm for your home only, it is still important to understand how to safely handle the firearm and legal issues. This is another important reason to attend our CCH Class.
- Question: I have no experience with handling a gun. In fact they scare me! Do you offer any training with small groups or perhaps one on one?
- Answer: Our CCH Classes are intentionally kept to a small number of students. And we do indeed provide individual training upon request.
